Indonesia’s first Trump-branded golf club has officially opened near Jakarta, marking a significant collaboration between the Trump Organization and Indonesian conglomerate MNC Group.
The Trump International Golf Club Lido, located in the naturally beautiful tourist destination of Bogor just south of Jakarta, is being operated by Trump Golf, a subsidiary of the Trump Organization. The development of the course was handled by MNC Land, the real estate division of MNC Group.
Designed by South African golf legend Ernie Els, the club represents part of a larger development project by MNC Group that includes hotels and theme parks in the surrounding area.
“This course has set a new benchmark for quality and exclusivity in Indonesia,” said Eric Trump, Donald Trump’s son and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, in a statement released Friday.
The addition expands Trump Golf’s global portfolio, which now includes nearly 20 clubs, predominantly located in Western countries.
MNC Group, which has business interests spanning media, finance, and resort development, is led by Executive Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo, who maintains a close friendship with former President Donald Trump. In January, Tanoesoedibjo visited Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, where he met with the president and members of his inner circle, according to social media posts.
