Ready to take a swing at the ultimate island job? Hamilton Island is seeking a reliable and skilled Golf Course Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles, equipment, and golf buggies across both Hamilton Island and Dent Island Golf Course — one of Australia’s most spectacular golfing destinations.

Your Role
As a Golf Course Mechanic, you’ll be hands-on in keeping our buggies, utility vehicles, and equipment in safe and working condition. You’ll work closely with the Workshop Manager and Golf Operations to ensure timely, quality repairs with attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ensuring timely maintenance and repairs on all vehicles and equipment
- Prioritise and address urgent repairs promptly
- Maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Responsible for the maintenance and security of all tools which are the property of HIE
- Ensure safe operation of equipment is maintained at all times
What we’re looking for
- Trade certified mechanic or 4 years relevant experience (Essential)
- Current drivers licence (Essential)
- White card (Essential)
- Previous experience specific to golf courses (Toro equipment would be an advantage)
- Demonstrate previous experience in maintaining and repairing golf buggies
- If you have a Forklift Licence we would be very impressed
