Vietnam will mark its 30-year ASEAN membership with a prestigious golf tournament offering prizes worth 390,000 USD. The Vietnam-ASEAN Friendship Golf Open, scheduled for April 19-20 at Tam Dao Golf Course in Vinh Phuc Province, aims to strengthen regional business and diplomatic ties.
The event will blend sport with networking, featuring a photo tour of Vinh Phuc’s landscapes, a female golfer beauty contest, and a gala with cultural performances. According to https://baobinhduong.vn/ business seminars will run alongside the tournament.
“This event celebrates three decades of regional integration while spotlighting the business community’s pivotal role,” said organizing committee head Luu Quang Dinh at the March 28 press announcement in Hanoi.
Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized the tournament’s dual purpose: “It builds regional friendship while promoting Vinh Phuc Province’s investment potential.”
Supported by local authorities and corporate sponsors including BES Group and DIC Star Hotel, registration remains open until April 10 with 144 players expected, including eight diplomatic representatives.
